Lehmann, Tobias (*1976), is an architectural designer based in Berlin. He studied architectural design at the Academy of fine Arts and Design in Enschede, the Netherlands. Schiferli, Floris (*1977) is based in Schidam, the Netherlands. He works as an architectural designer called “Studio Peevish”.

Tobias Lehmann and Floris Schiferli concentrate in their work as designers on minimalized use of materials and resources. Their reduced-to-the-max objects empower their user to individuate existing spaces everywhere, anytime.

For Talking Cities, both designers created an extended and adapted two-storey version of their Nohotel – it’s possible to erect a reduced living/sleeping/working unit in a (vacant) building with light, easily transportable materials. Although they refer to the lifestyle of traditional squatters, they call this the “new standard for temporary living, furnished with all of the exclusive qualities of this way of life”.
